POSCAP

POSCAP is a solid electrolytic chip capacitor. The Anode is sintered Tantalum and the Cathode is a highly conductive polymer formed from SANYO's original method. POSCAP has low E.S.R. (Equivalent Series Resistance) levels and achieves excellent performance under high frequencies while maintaining low profile design and high capacitance.

In addition, it has high reliability and high heat resistance making "POSCAP" the ideal chip capacitor for digital and high frequency devices.

Features

Conductive polymer build aims for low ESR

POSCAP's conductive polymer achieves the ideal combination of low ESR and impedance at high frequencies, noise-absorbing characteristics, and the ability to handle high ripple currents.

Lead free

Terminal plating is Palladium (Pd) and Gold (Au). Since production began in 1997, the production of POSCAP has never involved the use of any lead (Pb).

Low profile chip capacitor

Height ranges from 3.8mm (Case size D4) to 0.9mm (S09).

Wide capacitance range from 4.7µF to 1500µF.

TP, TH, TQ Series carry a wide capacitance range.

Excellent temperature characteristics

At -55°C ~ 85°C, 105°C, 125°C (depending on the parts).

Capable of Long Life, at 105°C 2,000Hrs

Due to the use of high temperature resistant conductive polymer, many POSCAP series are able to achieve 105°C*2,000Hrs.

Protection against inrush current

Due to the conductive polymer's self-healing ability POSCAP are are guaranteed for up to 20A (Ampere) of inrush current.

Safety

In the case of a short circuit, POSCAP's structure allows it to avoid burning as easily as other Tantalum Capacitors.
