SANYO Commercial Solutions regularly supports and sponsors AIDS research and lectures

January 15, 2006

SANYO Commercial Solutions regularly supports and sponsors AIDS research and lectures run by the Institute of Human Virology. Founded by Dr. Robert Gallo, MD from the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine, who co-discovered HIV as the cause of AIDS and developed the first HIV blood test, the yearly conference educates the public on slowing the spread of the virus and defining the mechanism by which HIV destroys the immune system. Their multidisciplinary approach includes virology; immunology, molecular biology and clinical medicine trials benefit patients across America.

The facility has played a key role in breakthroughs that have helped redefine our understanding of HIV and change the course of clinical care for AIDS patients.
