SANYO Debuts New Wide Dynamic Range Super-Mini Camera At ASIS 2008.

Combines Two Images To Deliver Optimal Image Quality In Highly Contrasted Scenes.

September 15, 2008

September 15, 2008 – SANYO Security Systems, a division of SANYO Fisher Company, is introducing the VCC-W1072 Super-Mini Dome Camera with Wide Dynamic Range here at ASIS 2008.  The high performance and cost efficient mini-dome camera features newly developed technology that dramatically increases dynamic range by creating a single image combining two exposures at different shutter speeds.  This allows the VDD-W1072 to capture more information and details, for clearer, well balanced images even under highly contrasted lighting conditions.

SANYO’s new Super-Mini Dome Camera with Wide Dynamic Range solves the longstanding problem that highly contrasted lighting conditions cause with conventional cameras.

The VCC-W1072 Super-Mini Dome Camera features 1/3.3-inch CMOS image sensor with 390,000 picture elements that delivers 500 TVL in WVGA (wide screen) and 470 TVL in VGA.  It employs SANYO’s newly developed Wide Dynamic Range technology that internally combines images shot at two different shutter (1/60 and high speed) speeds into a composite image.  This process extracts highly contrasted highlights and shadows from the scene, resulting in a well balanced and detailed image.

Additional features include: solid state construction to assure reliable operation and provide immunity to shock and vibrations; 1.0 lux minimum illumination; Auto Tracing White Balance; an electronic iris; internal sync; and protection from magnetic interference.
