Chatsworth, CA, March 22, 2009 – SANYO Fisher Company, a division of SANYO North America Corporation, introduces a new step machine, e-jog™ Robotic Stepper HRM-DS10W, at the International Home and Housewares Show Booth #L12127, March 22-24 in Chicago. Intended for home use, the unit is slim, attractive and folds easily. It is currently available with an MSRP of $1799.99. The new Stepper is the first SANYO robotic exercise product to be introduced to the U.S. market.
One of the main features of the e-jog fitness machine is the Twist Step, which twists the torso at the waist while the user is stepping. This helps develop the muscles of the lower body, while trimming the waistline, toning the upper body and promoting core strength.
“Much like how a powered treadmill encourages you to walk or run, the SANYO e-jog Stepper’s robotic action actually exercises you. The Twist Step motion provides a great workout at any pace,” said Richard Miller, VP and General Manager, Consumer Products Group, SANYO Fisher Company.
To get the most benefit from any cardiovascular routine it is important to keep the heart rate in the optimum zone. The e-jog automatically adjusts the step speed according to user-input data and the heart rate as measured by the pulse monitor (attached to the ear lobe). The stepper then automatically controls the step speed to maintain the appropriate pulse rate in the fat-burning aerobic zone.
For those who want to use an automatic course, data can be entered for gender, age, weight, and workout length. Based on these factors, e-jog automatically controls the pace and intensity of the exercise course. The stepper can store individual data for up to four people, so the whole family can enjoy a custom-designed exercise program. A choice of three automatic courses vary in intensity: Slow-walk, Quick-walk, and Jog. The stepper also has pre-programmed courses for workout variety. The user can choose among steady speed, stepped (gradual increases and decreases in speed), and interval (alternates between the set speed and a faster, more intense speed). All functionality is easily controlled via the large LCD panel.
The stepper folds compactly for convenient storage. When left upright it is attractive with a sleek, modern design. The handlebars and stand are useful for balance while getting on or off the steps and for use during the exercise session. The HRM-DS10W is available immediately at select retail outlets for $1799.99.
