September 15, 2008 – SANYO Security Systems, a division of SANYO Fisher Company, is showcasing its comprehensive line of cameras incorporating SANYO’s exclusive Pan-Focus™ technology. A completely new breakthrough, Pan-Focus utilizes deep focusing techniques to provide continuous focus across the entire filed of view – from the foreground to the background – keeping all objects simultaneously in focus. With their vastly expanded depth of field, Pan-Focus cameras not only provide a more detailed canvas area, they also save valuable installation time as there are no focus adjustments required.
With Pan-Focus, shaper images or more expansive coverage areas can be produced, often avoiding the need to cross-shoot multiple cameras. With all objects in focus, identifying individuals, vehicles and other objects within a scene becomes easier, as does monitoring images and identifying situations that require action. There is no image delay through the network due to time lag, improving overall safety and security. UTP functionality and integrated IP control are offered as retrofit options for units in which they were not initially integrated. In addition, the installation process is simplified with SANYO’s Pan-Focus cameras as no manual focus adjustments are required. The Pan-Focus technology is available in both indoor and outdoor dome versions, with or without pan-tilt functionality, and in a standard box camera version.
Even with the increased amount of information coming from images where every object is in focus with a larger depth of field, video signals from Pan-Focus cameras do not require any change to existing DVR/NVR systems and will not affect image file sizes, so more storage is not needed. In face, the horizontal resolution (520TVL) and the frequency band of the image are the same as with earlier SANYO cameras.
