ANTENNA CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO DTV (RF)

1 Connect the Antenna signal to the "ANT" terminal on the DTV.

NOTE: For models with separate analog and digital tuners, connect the cable service to the UHF/VHF/CATV terminal and an antenna to the Digital Antenna In terminal.

2 Perform an "All Channel Search." The All Channel Search will search for off-air digital and analog channels. The DTV can receive cable or off-air channels, but not at the same time. If after two searches the DTV still fails to detect any channels, the DTV will tune to Video2.

NOTES: If EXIT is pressed, the DTV will skip Channel Search and tune to Video2 without storing any channels in memory (Exit feature not available on all models).

The illustrations depict a first time operation. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for instructions about how to use the Menu system to perform an All Channel Search for all other situations. To add digital channels, the "Digital Add-on Search" menu option.

ANALOG CABLE HOOKUP (RF)

1 Connect a 75 ohm coaxial cable from the Cable Service wall plate to the ANT terminal on the DTV.

NOTE: For models with separate analog and digital tuners, connect the cable service to the UHF/VHF/CATV terminal and an antenna to the Digital Antenna In terminal.

2 Perform an "All Channel Search." The All Channel Search will search for off-air channels and cable channels. The DTV can receive cable or off-air channels, but not at the same time. If after two searches the DTV still fails to detect any channels, the DTV will tune to Video2. (Dual-tuner models can receive off-air and cable channels simultaneously.)

NOTES: If EXIT is pressed, the DTV will skip Channel Search and tune to Video2 without storing any channels in memory (Exit feature not available on all models).

The illustrations depict a first time operation. Refer to the Owner's Manual for instructions about how to use the Menu system to perform an All Channel Search for all other situations.

Connecting your analog Cable service in this manner will NOT allow you to receive any local off-air digital channels that may be available.
