DVD PLAYER & DVD RECORDER TO DTV HOOKUP OPTIONS

Choose the best connection available on your DVD Player or DVD Recorder. Refer to the owner’s manual that came with your equipment for available hookup options and operating instructions.

 

The Component video jacks (VIDEO2) share audio connections with the Composite video jack (VIDEO2). Therefore, you cannot connect equipment to the Component and Composite (VIDEO2) jacks at the same time.

COMPONENT AV CONNECTIONS (VIDEO2)

1 Connect your device to the VIDEO2 jacks, as shown here, matching connector colors to jack colors.

1 If your device has an S-Video jack, connect a 4-pin round
S-Video cable from the device to the S-Video jack on the DTV, instead of the yellow connector.

2 Use the INPUT key on the DTV’s remote to select Video 2 to watch DVDs.

 

1 Connect a Component cable to the Green, Blue, and Red video jacks on the DTV and to the device.

2 Connect an Audio cable to the matching set of White and Red audio jacks on the DTV and to the device.

3 Press the INPUT key on the DTV’s remote to select Component 2 to match your connections.

NOTE: For input connections to the VCR, click on Antenna / DVD Recorder, Cable / DVD Recorder, Cable Box / DVD Recorder, or Satellite / DVD Recorder.
