SATELLITE RECEIVER / VCR / DTV HOOKUPS
Choose the best connection available.
Refer to the user’s guide that came with your Cable box and your VCR owner’s manual for instructions
SATELLITE RECEIVER / VCR / AV CONNECTIONS (VIDEO2)

1 Connect the Satellite receiver “OUT” terminal to the VCR “IN” terminal using a 75 ohm coaxial cable.

2 Connect the VCR “OUT” terminal to the DTV ANT terminal using a 75 ohm coaxial cable.

Optional AV Connections for better quality recording and playback

3 Connect the Satellite receiver Video Out jacks to the VCR Video In jacks, matching connector colors to jack colors.

4 Connect the VCR Video Out jacks to the DTV VIDEO2 jacks, matching connector colors to jack colors.

 

5 Use the INPUT key on the DTV’s remote to select Video 2 to watch Satellite channels and for VCR playback.

NOTES: You cannot receive off-air analog and digital channels.

Set VCR channel to match RF output from Satellite receiver (usually channel 2, 3, or 4). Check with your provider for specific details.

Set DTV channel to match RF output of VCR.

When using optional AV connections the VCR must be powered ON and the DTV set to view Video 2 signals, see Step 5.
