CABLE / VCR / AV CONNECTIONS (VIDEO1)

1 Connect a cable from the Cable Service wall plate to the “ANT In” terminal on
the VCR.
2 Connect the “Out to TV” terminal on the VCR to the ANT terminal on the DTV using a 75 ohm coaxial cable. 3 Connect your VCR to the VIDEO1 jacks on the DTV, as shown here, matching connector colors to jack colors (optional for better playback quality). 3 If your VCR is a Super VHS VCR, connect a 4-pin round S-Video cable from the VCR to the S-Video jack on the DTV, instead of the yellow connector. |
4 With the VCR turned OFF, press the MENU key and select All Channel Search to program in your analog Cable channels. (Refer to the owner’s manual for specific instructions.) 5 Use the INPUT key on the DTV’s remote to select Video 1 for VCR playback. NOTES: This hookup does not provide for off-air digital channels to be received. Only analog Cable channels are “passed through” to the DTV tuner. When the VCR is powered ON, the VCR’s TV/VCR switch must be in the TV position for Cable channels to “pass through” to the DTV tuner. You can record and watch different analog channels. |
