1 Connect a cable from the Cable Service wall plate to the DVD recorder “IN” terminal. 2 Connect the “OUT” terminal on the DVD recorder to the ANT terminal on the DTV using a 75 ohm coaxial cable. Optional Connections for better quality playback 3 Connect a 4-pin round S-Video cable from the DVD recorder to the S-Video jack on the DTV. 4 Connect an audio cable to the matching White and Red audio jacks. 5 With the DVD recorder powered OFF, press the MENU key on the DTV’s remote and select All Channel Search to program in your analog cable channels. (Refer to the owner’s manual for specific instructions.) |
6 Use the INPUT key on the DTV’s remote to select Video 1 to watch DVDs. NOTES: This hookup does not provide for off-air digital channels to be received. Only Cable channels are received by the DTV tuner. You can record and watch different Cable channels. Set DTV channel to match RF output from DVD recorder (usually channel 3 or 4). The Digital Cable Search Menu option can locate ClearQAM Cable channels, when available. Refer to the owner’s manual for specific instructions. A Digital Cable Search will remove regular analog Cable channels from memory.
