Connect a cable from the Cable Service wall plate
to the Cable Box “IN” terminal.

Connect the Cable box “OUT” terminal to the DVD
recorder “IN” terminal using a 75 ohm coaxial cable.

Connect an antenna to the ANT terminal on the DTV.

Connect the Cable box S-Video Out and Audio Out jacks to the DVD recorder
S-Video In and Audio In jacks, matching audio connector colors to jack colors
(optional for better recording quality).

Connect the DVD recorder S-Video Out and Audio Out jacks to the DTV VIDEO1
S-Video and Audio In jacks, matching audio connector colors to jack colors.

Press the MENU key on the DTV’s remote and select All Channel Search to
program in off-air antenna channels. (Refer to the owner’s manual for specific
instructions.)

Use the INPUT key on the DTV’s remote to select Video 1 to watch premium
Cable channels and DVDs.
NOTES: You can record a Cable channel and watch an off-air analog or digital channel,
where available.
You can record stereo sound.
The DVD recorder must be powered ON to watch Cable channels.
Select Cable channels with the Cable box tuner.
Set DVD recorder channel to match RF output from Cable box (usually channel 2, 3,
or 4). Check with your provider for details.
