HIGH-DEFINITION SATELLITE RECEIVER TO DTV HOOKUPS
Refer to the user’s guide that came with your HD Satellite receiver for available hookup options and operating instructions.
The Component jacks (VIDEO2 and VIDEO3) have identical functions. Use either set of jacks when connecting your HD Satellite receiver.

COMPOSITE & S-VIDEO AV CONNECTIONS (VIDEO1)

Composite and S-Video connections, while possible and normally good options, are not recommended for an HD Satellite receiver.

These connections DO NOT support HD signals. You will not be able to watch HD programming in “high-def” through these connections. HD signals are converted to 480i analog for output via composite and S-Video jacks.

These jacks are provided for continued compatibility with your old analog devices, such as, a VCR.

COMPONENT AV CONNECTIONS (VIDEO2 & VIDEO3)

1 Connect a Component cable to a set of Green, Blue, and Red video jacks on the DTV and to the HD Satellite receiver.

2 Connect an Audio cable to the matching set of White and Red audio jacks and to the HD Satellite receiver.

3 Use the INPUT key on the DTV‘s remote to select Video 2 or Video 3 to match your connections.

4 Use the HD Satellite receiver’s remote to change channels.
