VCR TO DTV AV HOOKUP OPTIONS

Contact your Cable provider for information about your service.

Choose the best connection available on your VCR. Refer to the owner’s manual that came with your VCR for available hookup options and operating instructions.

Note: For models with separate analog and digital tuners, connect your cable service to the UHF/VHF/CATV terminal and an antenna to the Digital terminal.

2 Perform an “All Channel Search.” The All Channel Search will search for
off-air channels and cable channels. The DTV can receive cable or off-air channels, but not at the same time. (Dual-tuner models can receive off-air and cable channels simultaneously.) If after two searches the DTV still fails to detect any channels, the DTV will tune to Video1.

NOTES: If EXIT is pressed, the DTV will skip Channel Search and tune to Video1 without storing any channels in Memory.

The illustrations depict a first time operation. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for instructions for all other situations. Connecting your analog Cable service in this manner will NOT allow you to receive any local off-air digital channels that may be available.

To connect an antenna to receive available local off-air digital channels and analog Cable channels, connect a VCR or DVD Recorder. Click on Cable/VCR or Cable/DVD Recorder for those hookup options.

1 If you have a Super VHS VCR, connect a 4-pin round S-Video cable from the Super VHS VCR to the S-Video jack on the DTV, instead of the yellow connector.

2 Use the INPUT key on the DTV's remote to select Video 1 for VCR playback.

NOTE: For input connections to the VCR, click on Antenna/VCR, Cable/VCR, Cable Box/VCR, or Satellite/VCR.
