Located in California's Silicon Valley, SANYO Technology Center USA (formerly SANYO Multimedia Center USA) seeks out and collaborates on research and development efforts with USA companies involved in advanced technologies. With over 50 years of technological innovation and creativity within the company, SANYO invests in efforts that will lead to superior products for the future.

Current projects include work on imaging equipment (LCD projectors, digital still cameras, 3-D displays, 3-D modeling systems etc.), audio equipment (portable music players, virtual surround algorithms, music delivery systems etc.), recording media (ultra high capacity magneto-optical discs etc.), information and communications systems (personal data assistant devices, mobile video phones, home networking etc.), various semiconductor products, and energy-and-ecology related technologies (fuel cells, CO2 compressors, co-generation systems, etc).
